李安３日晚間出席《比利．林恩的中場戰事》的映後座談，與業界、學界進行技術面的電影意見交流。他這次帶來新規格的電影，自認仍在努力探索「新的美學」，認為不只攝影器材、演員、導演，「甚至影評、觀眾也都需要升級！」強調大環境改變的必要性。
有人問他3D攝影鏡位如何調度，他認為進入3D，鏡位上最理想的狀況不是靠剪接，是靠適當的場面調度，可惜現階段技術只能依賴剪接。被問到新科技帶來的「焦距」問題，他說：「過去調焦很制式，現在就連調焦的速度都會被看到，但每個人心裡想的焦距速度又不一樣，是我還在摸索的。」
關於電影調光，他說調光沒準則，就是親力親為，手動慢慢調，這次總共發行３種版本，分別是120格4K、120格2K與60格2K，前後混來混去調了７、８個版本。
至於電影字幕深度、位置，都是團隊經過一番研究，找到對眼睛負擔最小的地方設置，他說：「其實不管放在哪裡對眼睛都是增加負擔，但不放字幕又不行。」
